Maternity Photography FAQs

When is the best time to schedule a maternity photoshoot?
The ideal time for maternity photos is between 28–34 weeks of pregnancy. During this time your baby bump is beautifully visible while you are still comfortable enough to enjoy the session.
When should I book my maternity photographer?
Most families book their maternity session during the second trimester to ensure availability, especially for weekend sessions. Early booking also gives us enough time to plan wardrobe and styling for your photos.
What should I wear for maternity photos?
Flowing gowns, fitted dresses, and elegant fabrics photograph beautifully during maternity sessions. Our studio also offers a curated wardrobe collection of maternity gowns so you don’t have to worry about finding the perfect outfit.
Can my partner or children join the maternity session?
Absolutely. Maternity sessions are a celebration of your growing family, and partners and siblings are always welcome to participate in the photos.
Newborn Photography FAQs

When should I book a newborn photographer?

It is best to book your newborn photography session during your second or early third trimester. This allows us to reserve a flexible window around your due date.
What is the best age for newborn photos?
Newborn sessions are typically done within the first 5–14 days after birth. During this time babies are sleepier and naturally curl into those adorable newborn poses.
Do parents and siblings participate in newborn sessions?
Newborn sessions are relaxed and baby-led, usually lasting 2–3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and gentle posing so your baby remains comfortable.
What if my baby arrives early or late?
No worries at all. Once your baby arrives, simply send me a message and we will adjust the session date accordingly to capture your little one at the perfect time.
How long does a newborn photography session take?
Yes! Parent and sibling portraits are a beautiful part of newborn photography. These images help tell the complete story of your baby’s first days with your family.
Baby Milestone & Cake Smash Photography FAQs
When should milestone photos be taken?

Baby milestone sessions are commonly scheduled around 3 months, 6 months, and 9 months, when babies begin smiling, sitting, and showing more personality.
What is the best time for a cake smash photoshoot?
Cake smash sessions are usually done when your baby is 10–12 months old, just before their first birthday. These sessions are a fun way to celebrate this special milestone.
Do you provide props or outfits for baby sessions?
Our studio provides a selection of baby outfits, wraps, and simple props designed specifically for milestone and cake smash sessions. Once your session is booked, I will also share styling guidance to help coordinate outfits if you’d like to bring something special.
Do you provide the cake for cake smash sessions?
